FAQ
Questions, answered
A few of the things people most often want to know. If you don't see your question here, please reach out.
- How long are sessions?
- Consultations are 15 minutes and free. Individual therapy sessions are one hour.
- What can therapy help with?
- I support adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, stress, substance use concerns, life transitions, self-esteem, and questions of identity, relationships, and purpose. If you're unsure whether therapy is the right fit, a free consultation is a good place to start.
- What approaches do you use?
- My work is integrative and evidence-based, drawing on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and somatic, mind-body practices — tailored to what you need. You can read more about each approach on the About page.
- What is psychedelic integration therapy?
- Psychedelic integration therapy is talk-based support for making sense of a past or planned psychedelic experience and translating its insights into lasting, everyday change. No substances are administered or provided. You can learn more on the Psychedelic Integration page under Specialties.
- What is your cancellation policy?
- Appointments can be cancelled up to 24 hours in advance at no charge. Within 24 hours, the session is considered reserved for you. Reach out to me directly to change an appointment, or you can manage and cancel appointments anytime from your account.
- Do you offer virtual appointments?
- Yes. Sessions are offered via secure video, making it easy to meet from a private, comfortable space anywhere in New York State.
- Do you offer in-person sessions?
- Yes. In addition to secure video sessions across New York State, I see clients in person at my Brooklyn office at 111 North 12th Street in Williamsburg.
- Do you accept insurance?
- This is a private-pay practice. A detailed receipt (superbill) can be provided for you to seek out-of-network reimbursement from your insurer, which I can assist with.
- Is what I share confidential?
- Yes. Confidentiality is fundamental to therapy. What you share stays between us, within the limited exceptions required by law and professional ethics, which we'll review together.
- How do I get started?
- The best first step is a free 15-minute consultation. You can book online in just a few clicks — choose a time that works, and we'll take it from there.
